Sorihashi bridge in Osaka

anonymous, c. 1865 - c. 1870

This is one of the few photographs in the Bauduin collection with a title or description pencilled on the back: ‘Sumiyodi near Osaka’. Sorihashi bridge near the Sumiyoshi shrine is still a popular tourist site today. We do not know who added the title: Antoon or Albert, or perhaps their brother Dominique, who visited his brothers in Japan whilst touring Southeast Asia?
