Explanatory note
De houding waarin het skelet is afgebeeld gaat terug tot: Vesalius, Andreas. De humani corporis fabrica libri septem (...). Bazel: Johannes Oporinus, 1543. Deze tekening is waarschijnlijk gebaseerd op de prent van Jacob van der Gracht in zijn: Anatomie der wtterlicke deelen van het menschelick lichaem (...). Den Haag: Jacob van der Gracht, 1634. De letters en cijfers bij de verschillende botten, de nummering (B2) en de tekst op verso komt precies overeen met deze uitgave. Tekening zit in een omslag met meerdere anatomische tekeningen, genummerd RP-T-1989-256 en RP-T-1989-258 t/m RP-T-1989-289.
