  • Onderwerp ook opgenomen als nummer 31 in fondslijst van Nicolaes (II) Visscher (ca. 1680) waarin 130 prenten met Bijbelse voorstellingen op royaalpapier beschreven staan. Zie documentatie Jan van der Waals. Het landschap werd gekopieerd naar ontwerp van Jacob (I) Savery. Simson en de leeuw werden gekopieerd naar een prent van Antonie (II) Wierix, naar ontwerp van Jan (I) Snellinck.
