Roemer

anoniem, c. 1600 - c. 1625

Glass-engravers often took the models for their decoration from prints. This is the case here. The birds and the curious sea creature are derived from late 16th-century engravings by Nicolaes de Bruyn. The fairly crudely drawn trees are probably the invention of the glass-engraver.
