Explanatory note

  • Proefdruk voor reproductie in het satirisch tijdschrift Le Rire, Parijs, 22-12-1895. Toulouse-Lautrec maakte verschillende tekeningen voor reproducties in dit tijdschrift. Hij koos daarvoor onderwerpen uit het dagelijks leven maar ook beroemdheden. De illustratie in Le Rire is gedrukt in kleur. Dit werk wordt niet beschreven bij Wittrock 1985.
