Portret van François de Vicq (1646-1707), staande bij een tafel waarop zijn hoed ligt. De Vicq trouwde in 1667 met Aletta Pancras (zie pendant SK-A-2418). De Vicq was regent, bewindhebber van de WIC, vanaf 1687 directeur van de Sociëteit van Suriname en vanaf 1697 herhaaldelijk burgemeester van Amsterdam.

Explanatory note

Zie SK-A-2418 voor het schilderij van zijn echtgenote Aletta Pancras (1649-1707) en BI-1887-1463-87 voor de tekening naar dat schilderij. Zie BI-1887-1463-88 voor de tekening naar het geschilderde portret van zijn schoonmoeder Petronella de Waert (1628-1709), dat zich nu in de collectie van het Museo del Prado bevindt. Het portret zijn schoonvader Nicolaes Pancras (1622-1678) zit in de collectie van de Kunsthalle Hamburg.
