Portret van Jan van Lennep de Oude (1634-1711). Amsterdamse koopman in zijde-, goud- en zilverlaken en kunstverzamelaar. Bijna ten voeten uit, zittend in een stoel, met een grote hoed liggend in de schoot. Een papier in de linkerhand, gebarend naar de beschouwer met de rechterhand.
