Familieportret van Diederick Hoeufft (1610-1688), zijn vrouw Maria Witt (1620-1681) en hun kinderen Diederick (1648-1719), Maria (geb. 1651) en Jacob (1660-1717). Diederick is voorgesteld als jager met een hond en met een dode haas in de hand, Maria en Jacob hebben bloemen in de handen. Op de achtergrond een (schildering van een) beeld in een nis boven de schouw.
