Plate with the Hasselaer–Kick alliance arms
Meissener Porzellan Manufaktur, c. 1726
This plate was probably made for the marriage of Nicolaas, Cornelis Hasselaer and Anna Divera Kick Pancras in, Amsterdam, in 1726., Porcelain plates with family coats of arms were fairly, common in the Netherlands and had initially been ordered, from Asia. However, in the early 18th century European, porcelain was the new rage, and the armorial plate was, ordered in Meissen rather than China.
