These plates reflect the period when the Netherlands and Belgium together formed the United Kingdom of the Netherlands (1815-1830). The kingdom consisted of 17 provinces plus the grand duchy of Luxembourg. The gold decoration is in the Neoclassical style. On the upper edge are the arms of the kingdom, on the lower border those of each province. Today the Netherlands consists of 12 provinces.

Description
Bord van porselein, beschilderd op het glazuur in emailkleuren en goud. Op het plat een topografische weergave van de provincie Groningen. De binnenwand is bedekt met blauw met daarop in goud tweemaal een kelk met aan weerszijden een vogelkop en bloemranken. Een derde bloemrank heeft, in plaats van een kelk, het wapen van Groningen in het midden en de vierde toont het wapen van Nederland. Gemerkt op de onderzijde met het monogram R.D. en het jaartal 1822.
