The coat of arms is that of the Valckenier family. The plate was part of a set ordered by Governor Adriaan Valckenier. The town depicted at the right could be Cleves in Germany, where a distant relative of Adriaan lived. Perhaps one of the other city views includes the Governor’s house in Batavia.

    Schotel van porselein, beschilderd op het glazuur in blauw, rood, roze, zwart en goud. Op het plat het wapen van de familie Valckenier. Het wapen heeft in het midden een boomstronk met aan weerszijden halve manen en een helm met daarop de valk als helmteken. Het dekkleed is in rood, blauw en goud. Op de wand een band met bloemranken. De rand met drie gelobde cartouches met Europese stadsgezichten: Kleef, Kasteel Rosendael, de kerk van Valkenburg (Zuid-Holland), en één met het helmteken op een tak. Tussen de cartouches bloemranken. Wapenporselein met emailkleuren en encre de chine.
