Gezicht op kust van het eiland Manhattan vanaf de zee op de stad Nieuw Amsterdam of New York, onder grote bewolkte lucht. Op zee vier zeilschepen; de grootste lost schoten. Drie schepen met Nederlandse vlag, rechtsonder drie roeibootjes. Midden steiger met twee palen waarachter huizenrijen.
