Narcissus
Antonio Tempesta, 1565 - 1630
In contrast to the other print by Tempesta on view in this presentation, Narcissus hardly stands out here. He shares the woodland landscape with his hounds, a deer and two men on horseback. The spring has become a full-fledged river and an Italian village lies in the distance.
