Moscow Tattoo Convention

Gerard Wessel, 1995-05

In 1995, Wessel visited the Moscow Tattoo Convention. ‘In Russia, tattoos are no longer the exclusive preserve of soldiers, sailors and prisoners. Max’s DIY tattoos show there’s plenty of room for improvement. His whole body is covered with telephone numbers, funny texts and his own designs.’
