Explanatory note
Prent uit serie Verzameling hoofden (Raccolta di teste). Giovanni Domenico Tiepolo vervaardigde in de winter van 1757-1758 en in de periode van 1771-1774 deze hoofden naar schilderijen en tekeningen van Giovanni Battista Tiepolo. De eerste uitgave verscheen in 1774 in twee delen met elk dertig prenten. Deze prent werd opgenomen in deel 1. Prent mogelijk naar kopie van schilderij van Rembrandt welke in Venetië beschikbaar was aldus Knox 1976, p. 120, nr. 167.
