Lidded goblet

anonymous, c. 1725 - c. 1750

Engraved on the front of this goblet is a monogram consisting of the letters RSCVG; it is not known what they stand for. This monogram is entirely symmetrical: this is called a mirror monogram.

    Bokaal met deksel, stam met vier knopen. Op de kelk geslepen binnen zeer rijk ornamentwerk het monogram: RSCVG. Het monogram is niet geïdentificeerd. De deksel met rijke versiering.
