Large Beret with Daffodils and Violets

The wearer of this hat lived in Paris, where she bought her hats. At the end of the Second World War, despite the increasing scarcity of materials, millinery fashions in Paris became ever more fanciful. A good example is this large velvet beret liberally detailed with silk daffodils and violets.
