Een losse strook met tekst in het Frans is onder prent op het opzetvel geplakt. Hierop staat dat de prent gemaakt is naar een schilderij uit 1673 door Jan Wijnants uit de collectie van de gerechtsdeurwaarder van Bocksberg, baron K.P. von Reibeld (werkzaam rond 1787).
