Het lichaam van Christus wordt van het kruis gehaald door Johannes de Evangelist, Jozef van Arimatea en Nikodemus. Maria Magdalena knielt bij de voeten van Christus. Maria zit treurend naast het kruis geknield. Rechts drie mannen die het graf voor Christus openen. Links een groepje toeschouwers, mogelijk de Maria´s.
