Hot Summer, Cold Winter, in the Abyss of the Universe

Ger Gerrits (signed by artist), in or after 1945 - in or before 1965

Ger Gerrits was remarkably active in artists’ associations. After the war he co-founded the Circle of Graphic Artists and Draughtsmen, two disciplines in which he himself also worked. He abandoned figuration after 1945. Inspired by Kandinsky, Gerrits attached importance to the connections between spiritual and cosmic forces in his non-figurative work.
