Gepolychromeerd stapelmodel (stuurboord) van een eenmast raderstoomschip. Rechte verticale voorsteven. Elliptisch hek met roer met ronde roerkoning (Amerikaans roer) en afgerond blad. Eén gesloten raderkast ondersteund door raderbalken in de zijde, een schoorsteen aan dek. De zeeg loopt naar beide uiteinden een weinig op; het onderwaterschip is een rondspant met vlakke bodem. Het model heeft slechts een enkele fokkemast. Achterop het model spant- en waterlijnen en aantekeningen voor de werf. Schaal 1:20 (schaal op model).

Explanatory note

  • Dit model stelt waarschijnlijk het tweede schip met de naam Bogor voor, gebouwd in Soerabaja in 1873. Zij leek op de eerste Bogor, die in 1863 was aangekocht en in 1873 werd afgekeurd.

Entry

Polychromed wooden ‘bread-and-butter’ style half block model of the starboard side of a single-masted paddle steamer, mounted on a rectangular wooden backboard that has been painted white.

The white-painted side is closed and features a closed paddle box supported by paddle beams. The deck is closed and flush with the side. One black funnel is positioned on deck. The railcap is painted black. The model has a straight bow. The stern is elliptical. Below the stern a round-headed rudder with a rounded blade is indicated. The sheer rises slightly towards both ends. The hull is round with a flat bottom and painted a metallic copper colour below the waterline. The position of the foremast is shown in a truncated form.

On the back of the model frame lines, waterlines and some notes for the yard can be found.

This model probably represents the second ship with the name Bogor, which was built in Surabaya in 1873. It resembled the first Bogor, which was bought in 1863 and decommissioned in 1873.1A.J.
