Mallenmodel (bakboord) van een schip, kleine achterplaat. Geen geschutpoorten, geen dekken behalve bakdek, halfdek en bovenkampanje door gillingen aangegeven. Gewrongen spiegel, hol wulf, geen details van hek of zijgalerij; geen roer. Zeeg naar achteren oplopend. De senten tussen het onderste berghout en het reehout zijn breder dan die van het onderwaterschip. Rondspant, geveegd achterschip.

Entry

Wooden half bracket model of the port side of a ship, mounted on a small wooden backboard.

The side of the ship is depicted by ribbands attached to frame moulds. One deck is indicated by a horizontal mould fitted on to the model. The extent of the forecastle and quarterdeck is outlined by ribbands with square hances. The sheer rises aft. The bow features a stempost only. The beakhead bulkhead is represented by a vertical frame mould and part of the beakhead platform is depicted. The stern has a round tuck and a hollow counter. The model does not have a taffrail, quarter galleries or a rudder. The hull is round and slender at the stern.

The model has been identified by elimination only and its identification therefore remains uncertain. According to Obreen the model represents a 74-gun ship of the line from Zeeland.1J.M. Obreen, Catalogus der verzameling modellen van het Departement van Marine, The Hague 1858, no. 256.
