Guanyin

anonymous, c. 1700 - c. 1724

Guanyin helps mankind in various manifestations. Here she holds a basket of fish in her right hand, and a fly-whisk in her left hand. Standing next to her on the rock is a girl with a jewel and a boy with folded hands.

Description
Beeld van porselein, beschilderd op biscuit in blauw en ijzerbruin. Guanyin op een voetstuk tegen een rotsachtige muur, in haar hand een mand met vis; naast haar een meisje met een perzik in haar hand, aan de andere kant een jongen met een broek aan, zijn handen gevouwen (adoranten); boven het meisje een vogel, boven de jongen een vaas. Op de achterzijde twee oude labels met 'W 170' en 'N = 789'. Email sur biscuit.
