Guanyin

In contrast to the conventional Guanyin in white attire, this figure is adorned in colourful green, yellow, purple, and black floral patterns in the so-called famille verte glaze palette. The entirely white face creates a marked contrast with the decoration of the clothing.

    Beeld van porselein op een voetstuk, beschilderd op biscuit in groen, geel, aubergine en zwart. Zittend beeld van Guanyin; haar gewaad is versierd met bloemen en krulwerk met aan de voorzijde een draak tussen lotusbloemen op een gespikkelde, groene grond. Achterzijde met een gat en twee cartouches met bloeiende plant of bloemrank, verder onversierd. Enkele vingers zijn afgebroken. Email sur biscuit met famille verte kleuren.
