Girl’s Kimono with Camellias

The kimono was altered slightly at the shoulders to fit a young girl’s slender figure. The striking decoration of flowering camellia branches contrasts vividly with the black background. A cloud motif woven in the fabric can also be seen, and details of the floral and foliage work are indicated with delicate embroidery.

    Kimono voor een meisje met een versiering over het hele vlak van bloeiende camelia’s in rood, groen, wit en geel op een zwarte achtergrond. Zwarte zijde met brokaat geweven wolk-motieven met een gestencilde yuzen decoratie en geborduurde detaillering in geel. Voering van lichtroze zijde.
