• inscription: ‘Portion of a Photograph (magnified 4.3 diameters), representing a mountain side (Mount Guajara, and the interior Southern wall of the Great Crater), four miles distant from the Camera, stationed at the height of 10,700 feet above the level of the sea. (The apparently low, flat ground in the lower left hand corner, is part of the elevated Crater floor, at a height of 7,000 feet above the sea, and 3,500 above the ordinary level of the N. East summer clouds). See p.p 513,514.’
