Explanatory note

  • Prent is gedrukt van dezelfde plaat als een gezicht op Speyer en Worms, maar is hiervan afgesneden. Het blad met deze drie prenten is vanaf 1572 gebruikt in Braun & Hogenbergs 'Civitates Orbis Terrarum' en daarna in Janssonius' 'Theatrum exhibens illustriores principesque Germaniae Superioris civitates'. Op basis van de tekst op verso is vast te stellen dat dit blad komt uit een uitgave van Braun & Hogenbergs 'Civitates Orbis Terrarum' uit 1635. Zie ook: RP-P-2018-1611 en RP-P-2018-1629.
