Fashion Sketches for Summer Gowns

after design by Raoul Dufy (mentioned on object), 1920

The fabrics of these summer gowns were designed by the artist Raoul Dufy and were produced by the renowned silk manufacturer Bianchini Férier, who employed Dufy as a designer from 1912 until 1928. Their collaboration helped to make Dufy one of the pre-eminent textile designers of the 20th century. One of the cloaks is a creation by Poiret.

    Elf zijden zomerjaponnen van de befaamde zijdefirma Bianchini-Férier. De stof is ontworpen door Raoul Dufy, die tussen 1912 en 1928 als ontwerper in dienst was bij Bianchini Férier.
