mount: Tixier Deschamps, Nancy (ewer) and Paris (mount), c. 1897-1905, cameo glass, gilded, gilded silver, For this glass ewer, the Nancy-based brothers Auguste and Antonin Daum sought collaboration with the Parisian retailer Tixier Deschamps, which provided their handblown ewer with a gilded silver mount. The poppy links the two parts: from the bud on top of the lid to the wilted flower on the glass.

    Kan van überfangglas met een met decor van klaproosbloemen met vergulde elementen op een ruw geëtste ondergrond. Het verguld zilveren montuur bevat bloem- en bladmotieven. Op de bodem in goud tegen een zwarte achtergrond de signatuur Daum Nancy, het Lotharingse kruis en een verwelkte bloem.
