Dutch Flag International Space Station ISS

Dutch astronaut André Kuipers took this flag with him to the International Space Station ISS in 2011. Thus, during his media appearances in space, the Dutch tricolour was in the background and visible to the entire world. It returned to Earth in 2012 as padding for the cargo in the Dragon spacecraft, which was temporarily docked at the ISS. Kuipers and his fellow astronauts put their names on the flag.
