The kilns in Qingbai produced thin-walled porcelain with a clear, blue-white glaze. Bowls and plates were decorated with incised motifs from nature, whose execution was sometimes exceptionally fine. The blue-white glaze accumulated in the incisions, subtly emphasizing the lines of decoration. The container in the form of a bird was probably intended for cosmetic products, but may also have been used for spices or perfume.

    Schaal van steengoed met rechte, iets uitlopende wand, bedekt met een transparant glazuur met een lichtblauwe tint. Op het plat tweemaal een ingegrifte kraanvogel en gestileerde bloemtak. De rand is ongeglazuurd. Qingbai.
