Het fresco 'De School van Athene' door Rafaël in de Stanza della Segnatura in het Apostolisch paleis in het Vaticaan. Het toont een filosofenschool of agora waar beroemde Griekse filosofen en geleerden, zoals Aristoteles, Plato en Socrates, in groepjes staan te praten. Het is een uitbeelding van de filosofie en haar rationele zoektocht naar de Waarheid.
