Paulus ligt op de grond omdat hij van schrik van zijn paard is gevallen. Een knecht helpt hem overeind te komen. Een andere soldaat houdt het steigerend paard in toom. De overige soldaten zijn in rep en roer. De hemel is helemaal duister, vanuit een wolk, waarop God en engelen, straalt licht op hen af. God roept Paulus. In de ondermarge een stuk uit Hand 9:3-4.
