Button card

anoniem, c. 1800 - c. 1825

These buttons were meant for a man’s coat. Their shanks are pricked through a thick piece of paper. The buttons seem never to have been used; they are tied to one another on the back with a piece of string sealed with wax. Buttons were probably sold in this manner.
