Bureaustoel van dr. W. Drees

Otto Wagner, 1902 - 1910

Thonet chair. Office chair designed by Otto Wagner for the Thonet brothers factory, Vienna. Drees probably bought this chair shortly after 1910. He continued to use it throughout his life. The seat was re-upholstered once. The chair can be seen on various photos of Drees at his desk. It was a chic acquisition: Thonet was known as a manufacturer of modern furniture.
