Bahia
Aaron Siskind (signed by artist), 1984
Siskind is known primarily for his abstractions in black and white. He often chose peeling paint, weathered posters, and paint smudges on walls as his subject matter. He abstracted the images by isolating the forms. He worked in colour only on a few occasions. These stacked bar stools were photographed in Bahia, Brazil, in 1984.
