Armchair B35

Marcel Breuer, 1930 - 1931

Marcel Breuer was master of the Bauhaus furniture workshop from 1925 to 1928. There he developed the tubular steel furniture with Eisengarn, iron yarn fabric, which are, to many people, the face of the Bauhaus. His B35 armchair model with a comfortably sprung seat was presented in Paris in 1930. Shortly thereafter, the Thonet store in Amsterdam supplied this one to a customer from Waalwijk.
