Description

Ontvangst van Cornelis Hop als gezant der Staten Generaal aan het hof van Lodewijk XV, koning van Frankrijk, op 24 juli 1719. De koning, als kind, staat voor de troon, met achter hem de Regent, maarschalk Villeroy en de kardinaal de Fleury. Tussen de Hollandse delegatie, op de voorgrond, de secretaris Ruysch. Het ontvangst vindt plaats in het met schilderijen versierde Grand Cabinet de l'ancien appartement d'été van Anna van Oostenrijk in het Louvre.
