Koperen model van een ijzeren boei of zeeton, gemaakt van aaneengeklonken platen. Het heeft een conisch lichaam met scherp uiteinde onder en een bolvormige bovenkant. Aan een zijde is een verticale kiel aangebracht. Het oog aan het ondereinde is afgebroken. Schaal 1:10 (archieven).

Entry

Copper test model of an iron buoy.

The buoy is made of plates, bolted together. It has a conical body with a pointed lower end and a round top; below the waterline, it has a vertical keel offset to one side. The eye bolt at the lower end is broken.

Anthony Cornelis Twent, inspector general for pilotage at the time, ordered this model to help him establish the floating ability of his design.1HNA 2.12.01 Min. Marine, Exh. 21/3/1842 N46, 2/6/1842 N42, 31/12/1845 N77.
