The impact of the Rijksmuseum on Dutch society is considerable: it connects people with art and history, nurtures a sensitive and nuanced understanding of the world, and deepens awareness of time and beauty to evoke a sense of awe.

We have produced this impact monitor to give insight into not only our social impact, but also our environmental and economic impact. This edition focuses on 2022 and 2023, the last year of Covid and the year that saw the unprecedented success of the Vermeer exhibition.
