Create your own Rijks Mouse Mansion

Build your very own Mouse House room out of cardboard and paper.

Be inspired by the 17th-century doll’s houses in the Rijksmuseum, as well as the Mouse Mansions of Sam and Julia, now on display in the Picnic Room!

Step into the magical miniature worlds of doll’s houses and Mouse Mansions and design a room of your own. Will your mouse enjoy a chic interior, or a cosy sofa with a woolly rug? Decorate it completely in your style with Rijksmuseum wallpaper and more.

Create your own Rijks Mouse Mansion is a collaboration between the Rijksmuseum and the Mouse Mansion, as part of the exhibition At Home in the 17th Century. During this exhibition, two Mouse Mansion sets will be on display in the museum’s KPN Picnic Room.
