The story of Paulus
From the series SlaverySlavery was forbidden by law in the Netherlands. The collar in this story entered our collection in 1881 as a dog collar. However, it would appear that the collar may have been worn by a Black servant in a Dutch household. Researcher Annemieke van der Vegt will tell you the story of Paulus.
