Images of most (not all) artworks in the Rijksmuseum are available to download free of charge from that work’s page. These are JPEG files averaging 4500 x 4500 pixels.

Always the best, latest image
High image quality is paramount for the Rijksmuseum. We’re continually upgrading our image files to the latest quality standards, so please be sure to order the latest versions and avoid reusing old files.
Don’t forget to credit!
Anytime you use our images, please be sure to credit us as the source (Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam). We’d also like to receive a copy of your publication for our library.
