Wine glass

anonymous, c. 1725 - c. 1750

This glass consists of three distinct parts: foot, stem and bowl. They form a sturdy, classical shape, which is clearly related to that of silver vessels from the same period. The bowl is engraved with the coats of arms of the seven provinces of the Dutch Republic.

    Gewelfde voet. Slanke balusterstam met drie knopen en luchtbellen. De conische kelk met afgeronde basis is geheel versierd met band- en bladwerk, met bloemslingers en bovenaan palmetten waartussen binnen cirkels de wapens van de Zeven provinciën.
