Woman’s kimono

The black lines in this pattern form a series of ‘windows’ through which flowering trees and shrubs can be seen. The blocks of colour resemble stained glass and reflect the strong lines used in painting, architecture and design worldwide during the first half of the 20th century.

    Informele vrouwen kimono met een patroon over het hele vlak van een raamwerk van zwarte lijnen en glas in lood-achtige partijen, waar doorheen tuingezichten met bloeiende takken zijn te zien. Roomwitte zijde met versiering in stencil-druk (meisen). Voering van rode en roze katoen.
