Female Nude

Eugène Durieu, 1854

Another print of this photograph is found in an album owned by the famous French painter Eugène Delacroix. He was one of many artists who used photographs for their work. Delacroix even asked a photographer, Durieu, to specifically photograph nude men and women in certain poses for him. Whether Durieu also took this one, however, is not certain.
