Vase with Floral Decoration

anonymous, c. 1575 - c. 1599

This porcelain vessel is covered with a uniform brown glaze. The white slip floral decoration was applied directly after the glaze had been fired at a high temperature. Made of light, thin porcelain with an even glaze, this vase was probably produced in the Jingdezhen kilns.

    Peervormige vaas van porselein met een verdikking in de hals net onder de rand. Bedekt met een bruin glazuur en gedecoreerd met een wit slib. Op het lichaam tweemaal een bloempot met grote, bloeiende planten. Monochroom bruin Ming porselein.
