Entry
Two instruction models (NG-MC-114-A and NG-MC-114-B) showing the diagonal framing according to the British naval architect Robert Seppings (1767-1840). The models consist of two beams of the ceiling with diagonal trussing in between.
Although Obreen mentions only one model,1J.M. Obreen, Catalogus der verzameling modellen van het Departement van Marine, The Hague 1858, no. 114. two have been found. One or both models were probably made for the committee examining British shipbuilding methods in 1822.2HNA 2.12.01 Min. Marine, Exh. 27/5/1822 N7.
