Two Bottles

These two square bottles were made to order, probably after examples of Delft pottery. The landscape is painted in a mixed style: the figure carrying two buckets is Japanese, while the houses look European.

    Deksel van vierkante fles van porselein, beschilderd in onderglazuur blauw. De deksel met drie takken is niet bijpassend. Een chip in de rand van de deksel. Arita, blauw-wit.
