Two drinking horns

Drinking horns were considered to be an ancient an venerable kind of drinking vessel during the 17th century. Buffalo horns, often with silver decorations, were used by the civic guards on their feast days. Large glass horns could hold a substantial amount and would have been passed from person to person to make a celebratory toast.
